What is Lamina (Leaf Porcelain)?

Lamina porcelains are a type of porcelain restoration used to change the color, form and position of the front teeth with a special bonding technique. Thanks to the laminates that imitate natural teeth, the desired smile can be achieved in a very short time.

How is Lamina done?

Lamina is an aesthetic application. As with every aesthetic procedure, it gives excellent results when it is carefully performed with a quality material; otherwise, it has irreparable consequences. The previous cases of the physician who will apply lamina must be asked. If trust is felt and a decision is made; it is first started with a photo shoot. After the first measurements are taken, 3D design of the teeth is made with ceramist. At the 2nd appointment, this 3D design (wax-up) is applied in the mouth of the person and the result can be shown to the person without any treatment to the teeth yet. The reason why a very long time is allocated to the person in this session is to ensure that the result is not a surprise.

The measurement session is the shortest session. On the model obtained from the impression, thin laminates are produced as a personalized 'hand-made', almost like a painter. Although the session after the impression is considered as a fitting, it can also be finished since the 3D design is identical. If corrections are needed during the fitting session, the finishing is done the next day. The gluing session is the most important appointment day. The treatment ends with a control and photo shoot at the appointment after the bonding session.
